A friend wanted me to bring the guitar over to his house and play some steel with the kids that hung around. A drummer, bass, two guitars and a singer. They were very nice and wanted to do country for me, but they never heard Haggard, Jones...didn't know Emmy Lou, and hadn't even heard "Take it to the Limit" or "A Pirate Looks at 40"

I asked them what they like and they played some great stuff. One of their favorite artists was someone named Howie Day.

They were knocked out that I could fit into their stuff, and they loved the contribution that the steel sound made.

I'm going to get this Howie Day recording and dig in a bit. Anybody know who this guy is?

Thanks Joey....

Touring with Tori Amos is a pretty big step up. Looks like he's one of those new talents that are being talked about on campus, etc.

Fun.
