I see that Dale will be in Nashville for Opry gigs this weekend... curious to see if Dale and Ricky might happen to get back in front of the cameras for the TV segment, sure hope so?

I just checked his tour schedule and he's coming my way. Your's too, Neil. He'll be at the Southgate House in Newport, KY on Friday, August 23rd.

Is Ricky on this tour? If not, who are we going to see on steel?

I won't be on that tour Ron....sorry....and I dont' know who is yet.
Me and Dale are throwing some ideas around about who is touring and/or takin' my place....so I guess I'll let everyone know eventually.

Does this mean you won't be with him in Virginia on Aug. 14th?

BITTER!!!!!!!! Oh well, at least I get to play with Nathan at least once a week, so I get to hear your licks from his fingers.

I'm disappointed too. I was planning to see Ricky and Dale in Buffalo, Aug 21.

I do understand, but Texas is sooo far away.

Buffalo is probably snowed in anyway!

Oh well...

Ron, you bet, I'd just noticed that on Dale's website the other day too - I've heard about this Southgate House up on the river, sounds like a very interesting venue... an old mansion that has been renovated into a bar / live music spot.

Very sorry that we won't get to experience that Dale/Ricky magic - but I'll look forward to a shot in the arm of DW and that silver-dollar Tomkins anyway. Ron, will be very good to meet you there. - Neil

Neil,

I just stuck my head in the door one night at the Southgate House. Nothing going on that night, but I'll be staying awhile on the 23rd.

See ya then.

Ron, I see that Haggard is playing the KY state fair in Louisville the very same night.... bad luck to have to pick, but I'll plan to come up to Southgate for DW.

I do hope that they have a good crowd for Hag, he's playing Freedom Hall. I'll feel guilty not going and then find out in the paper the next day that the crowd was sparse, sure wish I could be both places that night.

Great Pix! Thanks for posting them.

I suspect you like the last one, because that shirt is Way Cool!

The on-looker in Photo #2 appears to be thinking, "I wish I could play like that."
