I was in Guitar Center today, and they had a new 6 string Gretsch lap steel there for $149. It looked nice: sunburst finish aith a white fret board...the scale looked alittle short, and the string spacing looked a little narrow....the pickup looked loke a chrome covered P90...made in Korea. It was neat to see it haging on the wall next with all the electric guitars: they had it in the Rickenbacker display area, rather than the acoustic room where they have dobros, etc. I didn't have a channce to play it...I didn't have a bar with me, and I didn't feel like having to track one down there.
Has anyone played one of these? Are they any good? I figure for that price it's either a great deal or it's like ya get what ya pay for. Anyone know?

Edited by Brad to say "Gretsch" rather than "Rickenbacker"

Thanks
