Bill,
If you're OK at writing out the 4 note voicings, just make a chart of the neck with every note on it. Go to your written out music, if you have a C7 #5 chord with C,E,G# and Bb in it, look at the chart and find out what fret most of the notes are on. You'll find that there aren't many roots available, but the rest of the chord will be. I have yet to find a chord that I can't play WITHOUT A SLANT on the Leavitt Tuning.

Mike....have you experimented with extending this tuning to an 8 string instrument or is "less" more...in this case?

Graham Griffith sent me several VERY nice chord charts on this tuning. I wish he could post them here.
I took an old 6 string lap and put it in this tuning and have just had the best time. Jazz chords are all over it!!

I tried adding an Eb on string 7 and a lower C on string 8. That gives you 2 solid roots that aren't available elsewhere. But, I'm still happy with the 6 string version as it is.
In case you didn't know, I have a CD called "A Different Slant" and a TAB/Music book with a CD of the play along tracks for all 10 tunes. $15 each. I also have over 75 arrangements of Jazz and Hawaiian tunes, all in the Leavitt tuning if anyone's interested. E-mail me. mihde@berklee.edu

I'd be happy to host the file. you could create a link to it. If you'd be willing, just send it to me and I'll put it up on my dev site.
