Just got around to picking this CD up - it was released in 2000 after laying around in the vaults since 1969. This is a MUST HAVE for anybody into country-rock. No steel - but Clarence White lays down some vintage twang.

You know what they say, Chas: "If you remember the '60's, you weren't really there."

No sweat. If that Santayana dude (not Carlos) was right, then since we remember nuthin', I guess we're doomed to repeat it. Buckle up.

That was a great era. Wish I was into Nashville and steel at that time.

I´m actually too young to remember, but I love country-rock from that era. I have that CD, it´s one of my favorites, especially Clarence. What he did on stage was something very different from his studio work. Some of the wildest, most outrageous B-Bender Tele playing ever. Hard to put into words. To me, clarence was one of the greatest guitar players of all times.

Regards, Joe H.

There's a live recording of the 1969 Flying Burrito Brothers at the Palomino Club in North Hollywood; Clarence sits in on most of the gig and it's been described as Burrito heaven.
It's been a bootleg in various forms since the 1970s, but there's a chance that an official version may come out. (fingers corossed on that one)
