I've got a new CD entitled Freehand. If you're familiar with my other discs, Slide & Joy or Blueprint for the Blues, my cuts on Resophonics Anonymous, or my work with Mark Graham as the Kings of Mongrel Folk then you can guess that this album is an eclectic mix of all the
music I like to play spiced up with lots of dobro and slide guitar. A little blues, a little jazz, a little country, a little bluegrass, and some musical pals to help me stir it all up. They include two of my favorite dobroists, Mike Auldridge and Stacy Phillips, Nashville guitarpal John Knowles, and a bunch of my Seattle cohorts including Laura Love, Jovino Santos Neto and others.
Lots of reso/slide content here in a variety of styles using my Dobro Style 45, Michael Dunn Weissenborn and Bruno 8-string steel. I sing 5 cuts and there are 5 instrumentals. Orville's older CD, Slide & Joy, is still available in the Forum catalog. I can't wait to hear the new one!

| I just picked up this album (freehand) at a local shop. I hadn't seen it around, and had missed this thread. Just checked the forum catalog and freehand isn't for sale. Is it going to be? It's a great cd. I'm going to get a copy for my brother,and I'd like to order it through the forum. |
