The early 50's leg sockets for steel guitars were manufactured by welding the (inside) threaded cylinder, at an angle, to the round flat plate.
The later ones look to be steel castings; but I'm unsure of this. Does anyone know if the later ones were cast; or were they machined and then heated and bent to the desired angle?

It looks like the ones Bobbe Seymour sells are cast.

I have three original leg flanges.
They came off my 52 Custom. |

Rick, if Jody can't help, we have many here that we have replaced with our new ones. Several sets as a matter of fact. The double and triples had a different angle than the doubles or four neckers did so tell me what number of degrees you want and we'll try to serve you,
