Brandon, If you like Great Steel Playing, vocal harmonies, good lyrics and arrangement, then you will like Desert Rose Band. They were one of the BEST bands to come along in a long time in my opinion. Everyone in the band was extremely talented and complimented each other very well I thought. I never understood how a band like Desert Rose could have broken up when it seemed to me like they had everything going for them. There are two Cassettes that I play a lot by Desert Rose:
The Desert Rose Band MCAC-5991
Desert Rose Band Pages Of Life MCAC-42332

Check out their greatest hits on "A Dozen Roses." And thanks to Pete Dollard to turning me on to that one a couple of years ago.

Get the CD that has "Here Comes Trouble".
Actually, I think there's only 3 CD's to date. May as well get em' all. You won't be disappointed. There are hardly any filler songs from this great bunch of players.

Hey Brandon,
Check out the tune "The Price I Pay" for some great echo doubling work by John Jorgensen and JayDee's usual brilliance will astound you. Another one I like is a song called "The Story of Love.

This is, without a doubt, an ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE CD if you like JayDee and the Desert Rose Band. 'Nuff said.

Great band. Had as excellent taste in music as you'd expect from such experienced cats. "She Don't Love Nobody" is probably my favorite cut of theirs. Isn't that a John HIatt song? He probably made more money than they did off it. Those worthless songwriters and their words!!!

Kind of off the subject, but I liked Herb Pederson's CD too. I "favorites" tape of DRB in my truck at all times.

You guys stole all my thunder; the previous songs, Trouble and Price(with Emmy Lou Harris),are great examples of how to play music. Bob it was a pleasure!. I know I looked like a maniac dragging everyone over to my truck to listen to "The Price That I Pay"...regards Peter.

Tim,
My mistake. "Hello Trouble" is the correct
name of the song I referred to as "Here Comes
Trouble".
I had a feeling that I, indeed, had the wrong
title...and should have dug out the cassette to double check,
but as we all know now, I DID NOT dig out the
cassette. Just laziness, I guess.
Thanks for the correction.

Love Reunited was a hit for them and I still think it's their best. It opens with a simple descending scale in F played in harmony, which defines their sound perfectly.
The lyrics are pretty good, too.
