Johnny Hiland was home from Nashville and we were supposed to do some jammin' but I missed out on it. I was just too busy and couldn't get over to his place in Maine. I really feel bad that I didn't get to see him. He's a great guy, and man what a guitar player! I did talk to him on the phone for a few minutes and he told me he had a new Tele' and he had it home with him. Apparently, it is a Johnny Hiland prototype. He told me it was the best Tele' he's ever played on. Didn't get to talk too long, as he was leaving for the airport and was in a bit of a hurry. If you ever get to hear this guy play, you won't be dissapointed......Regards, Carson

friend of mine sent me this link the other day:
Johnny Hiland Interview

as someone who grew up in the shadow of Danny Gatton, I am very interested to hear Johnny...
