Awhile back I played trivia with Jody Carver and got half the question right. Here's one for Jody. Who were the two well known musicians that published the hit "Big Bad John", for Jimmy Dean. Anybody can answer but thought maybe Jody would give it a spin.

Jody, guess again. So far nobody has come up with the answer. Must be a real stumper huh? It will take more than an adjustment of a molex connecter for this one I think.

Jody, Try again pal. Think really hard. Try a few prunes. They will loosen everything else. Maybe they will do brain cells too.

Okay Jody, you got part of it. Answer the other person and you win a trip all expenses paid to Hazzard Kentucky or your own backyard whichever is closer. Floyd was one of them. Wasn't he a barber. I used to watch him on Andy Griffth. And no Barney isn't the other. Purple or otherwise. By the way do those prunes improve your tone. I prefer the lighter ones. Black ones make me feel old and slobbish.

Jody has the Floyd part right. I figured all the old timers would know this right off. I even expected more responses than just Jody and Ray. Figured the regulars would strike on this one. Guess I figured wrong.

Well folks Jody e-mailed me and said with all the prunes, the going was just too much and please give his final answer. The answer is Grady Martin and Floyd Cramer. I'm gonna get him a half-way ticket. Thanks Jody for playing. It has been a blast.

Well, just to double-check on this, I too called Roy Clark to ask him. He said no it wasn't. He also said that we should stop bothering him at home, that he didn't know who the hel* I was, or Jody Carver, and that if we called his house one more time, he would charge us with harassment and make sure I never work in his town again. |

Well, I don't doubt your word, Jody, but he didn't admit to me that he knew you. (Of course, it coulda been a wrong number, too.)
As for guitars, right now I only have one. True fact. |
