The guy doing the voice of "Rubber Duck" is the same one that's singing, or rather "talking" the song...C.W.McCall (real name=Bill Fries). Bill was an ad man who started doing commercials in Omaha, Nebraska. The ads turned to jingles, and the jingles turned to songs, or rather dialectic recitations. His first record was..."The Old Home Fill-er-Up and Keep On A-Truckin Cafe".

And filed under " more than you would ever care to know", Rick Dees did DISCO DUCK around the same time... AND, it was Ernie who sang RUBBER DUCKIE while in the bathtub... not to be confused with One Flew Over The Cookoo's Nest, which was a movie, not a song.

That's Del Reeves. That's probably his signature song, that and the "Doodle do do do".

Speaking of Nebraska, the guy that used to do the Godfather Pizza commercials, that was made up to look like a maffia gangster, was a farmer from Nebraska.

A little trivia, the song "Girl on the Billboard" was written about a real billboard and the girl was modeled by a very young Dolly Parton.
