I'd like to welcome to the forum old friend Lee Howell one of the finest Country singers I ever had the pleasure to know... lee in the Early days like johnny Paycheck was on "Nashvilles Little Darling records" and settled in the New england area for some twenty years. The virginia Native who now calls N.Carolina Home has one of the deepest clearest pure country voices ala Dick Curless..Welcome Lee.

Welcome Lee!

I worked a house gig with Lee (Billy T's in W Springfield MA) 5 nights a week for 5 years... geez, that's 1300 shows

I agree with you Joe, Lee is a great singer. I remember the local superband that featured Joe Casey and Lee Howell on vocals and Jim Smith on pedal steel.

Lee will be a valuable addition to this forum. He knows a whole lot about steel guitar and steel players.

Hey BJ: It's great to see you back on again.Yes I can assure you that lee Howell is the real deal..Lee has had his chances and chose to work 5 nights a week and eat good route..Lee has cut several records and "Heataches for a dime" which I believe was on Little Darlin records was a great cut..He has had several and the cover he did on George Joneses " He stopped loving her today" well if he had it first It would have still done what it did....Email him and get a copy...And listen to Sammy Gibsons Steel work.

Hey Lee,You finally got your password that's great. It use to be easier and faster to join but there were a couple of problems with people using an alias and b0b is a little more careful now. There are a lot of great people on and you will make new friends with what we all share in Common, our Music...Looking forward to our getting together in Nashville maybe by then we can get some more of the old crew to join us..Also am looking into New England in late July for Bill Hankeys Steel show...

Leigh,
I'de like to welcom you too.I first met you when Bill Hankey took me to Billy T's to see Doug play. I think I sat in with you a couple times. I ended up playing with Hank and the Moore Hill Gang, mostley in the Berkshires,NYstate and in the Greenfield area. Also played with Little Louie for a while before moving south to South Carolina and now East Tennessee.
This is the place where good friends old and new meet, greet, and talk.!!!!!
