There was an interesting T.V. special on Lenny Breau last night. I only got the last 1/2 hour taped. Lots of footage and great tunes.
Did you guys south of the 49th get that too ?

I've seen one that was broadcast on the Canadian Bravo network. I checked with the U.S. Bravo network to see if it was available to purchase or if it would be shown again so I could tape it, and was told it was only on Bravo Canada. Great footage; fantastic player!

John, my wife and I took our vacation two years ago up in Toronto. I happened to catch a documentary type show on Breau when I was up there. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same one you've seen. It was a good documentary, but a very sad story.

That was a great show, some of us in Canada will remember seeing Lenny on a TV show out of Winnipeg in the 60's. I saw him in my home town in Nova Scotia in the early 1950's, appearing with his parents, Hal "Lone Pine" and Betty Cody--he was 12 years old and was a phenomenal player even at that age.

John, that special came on about a year or two and I watched it at Calvin Vollrath's house. I had met Lenny several times in the early 70's in Toronto and the documentary was haunting, very emotional for me. Lenny was a very gentle, amusing creature who was always very nice to me whenever we met. I sure miss him.
