How about the original, by the writer, Terry Allen, on the Lubbock On Everything album?
Anything by him is worth listening to, especially for those who appreciate a slightly sidewise sense of humor...
(Lloyd Maines is all over his records, too...)

Robert Earl Keen does a good live version of it on his 'No 2 Live Dinner' Cd from 1996 on Sugar Hill #1051.
This CD has Lloyd all over it, Really good!
