Tim Mcgraw has a steel player that plays something that looks like a guitar, but the neck is mounted so the guitar body is normal, and the neck is facing up like a dobro. What the heck is that thing, and where can I get one?
Thank you,

Sounds like a Melobar (probably a Skreemr model) to me...
I have one I might consider letting go of.[This message was edited by Chris Bauer on 01 August 2003 at 08:10 PM.] |

Sir, I would certainly be interested in seeing some pictures and a price. I don't know anything about these instruments. Could you tell me about their use and are they big in music today?
Thanks,

Thanks Andy, I was looking for some pricing info. The website doesn't show prices for that particular instrument.
Thanks,

Sadly, Ted isn't making any more guitars- at least for now. I, for one, certainly hope that circumstances are such that he gets back into the business someday. I've always been a HUGE fan of melobar instruments.
The last price given for the six string Skreemr was around $1500 as I recall. |
