Eddie! As I said Definately Day, Actually Day cut Crazy Arms with Price at least that far back. Were talkin 58,59 60,61. I played a ton of gigs with Marvin in those days & a few later on. Al = P.S. Check out a Price album W/Day called San Antonio Rose W/ Jimmy all over it! 1960-61,62? |

Al, in my estimation this was Jimmy Day at his peak on the "San Antonio Rose" album. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe it was all done on the E9th tuning and it realy did "swing."

Jim! I first worked with Rainwater in 58, I think if he had a song with the words "Steel Guitar" in it, I would have played it a jillion times! Sounds just like something that Slim Whitman would have done? Theres got to be At least one Slim fan, And He or She should know! Al Udeen |

Hey Al, I was a little confused because I thought Bluebird was before Crazy Arms.
