This weekend the Hag made an appearance at the Govenors Pallace theatre in Sevierville. Suppose to be an 8: PM show ,Hag who was out BSn by the bus finally walked on at 8:45. A lot of customers were asking for there money back. Hag seemed to have a hair across his a$$ as he put down the stage shows that are put on at the theatres as Fiasco's, claiming"we are a barroom band ,as opposed to those fiascos put on in these theatres". Hmmm must have a lot of work Hag. Think he has had enough of Gaylord entertainment who incidently runs the Shows? Hag will be Hag. I wish there was more of him? of the past.

Rob,I am the biggest Hag fan around or one of them, however I feel sorry for the packed house ,also fans who came ,paid to see Merle Haggard Singer ,Writer,Musician. He may have not cared about the job however the fans traveled distances to see a 8:00 show. The Owners got their money and Hag got paid. Will those fans drive to another hag concert?

How was the show? Was the sound / mix good? How about Norm Hamlet’s steel and Redd’s lead guitar. If the stuff that really counts was good then yes the fans will return. Of course, many of them probably agreed with Merle on that point. I’ve seen Hag in bars and in the concert halls. I’m no big drinker anymore, but I do prefer the cozy honky tonk setting to the concert halls for a Hag show.

I can’t believe that a 45-minute wait was a really calamity. Hell, he was probably watching the traffic making sure all the ticket holders were present before starting.

Hag’s probably feeling a little jealousy and bitterness towards the industry that he so greatly helped build. There’s nothing unusual about that. Listen to the baseball players from just 10-15 years ago talk about today’s lot.

Ron, I hope that's true. Might have been something behind the scenes we know nothing about. I know hag takes no crap.

I was actually being a bit facetious about the traffic, but you’re right. There could have been a little issue of payment or something like that behind the scenes. It’s probably getting harder to give Merle a screw job on that. He’s done a few gigs.
