Theresa, we "traditionalists" are on a crusade, what the Blues Brothers might call “A Mission From God”. Don’t take our fire and brimstone from this bully pulpit as simply complaining.

We’re doing it for the children, which in steel guitar terms means anyone under 50.

I think in my opinion what Ron is doing and saying is,We love pure good Country music. We accept the fact it has changed only don't tell us what is called country music now resembles any form of what we still love and know to be,and what we all started out playing and devoted our talents too. As Old Justin once put to words ,we won't sell out for a song. IMHO>

I think Alan Jackson's latest CD says it
all. Country Music may be a thing of the
past, so let's play the STANDARDS with all
the HEART and SOAL we have. It deserves
nothing less.

Les, I've got news for ya, I don't know about screaming, but I'd damn sure run to buy ANY traditional country album that comes out. Another news flash, I wouldn't be running back, screaming or otherwise to demand a refund. Some of this trash thats comming out of Nashville makes me want to puke. I think I'll take a hint from Chris and check out what's comming out of TX. The real stuff is still out there, there just aren't any real country stations anymore that play the real stuff. At least not in these parts. I'm off to Dale Watson's website to buy his CD. If it's "too country" it's for me! We know for sure it's gotta have some great steel on it!

David

Okay I'm editing. I can't say as Nashville is to blame for some of this awful music that's associated with it. Everytime I go up there, I find traditional country alive and well in the clubs on Broadway. Ya gotta Love Roberts! The Garth Free Zone!
