Just wanted to let everyone know that I finally broke down and bought the Bear Family Box Set on ET that goes through 1975. However, I won it in an Ebay auction on Saturday so I don't have it yet. I was wondering if any of you who own it could give me your reviews and opinions on the set, as I would like to know what to expect.

My dad has all the ET boxed sets and I listened to all of them. Every cut sounded as warm and full as the vinyl. They even left some scratches and pops in on some of the older stuff, rather than mess with the audio quality. Where else can you hear Buddy Emmons play lead guitar? Pete Drake, Grady Martin and Bobbt Garrett are also on a few cuts. Bear seems to have incredibly high standards for preserving music and is one of the few CD companies that don't mess with the original sound by remixing it. County Sales offers the boxed sets for a substantial discount.

Just wanted to the let the forum I got the set yesterday and was very impressed with the extreme high quality. Another thing (Buddy Charleton is ONE SUPER TALENT!!!) especially on the instrumentals where he could really shine. Jason

Yes, "Honey Fingers" is included along with "ET Blues", "Cool It" and several others. Also included is Leon Rhodes singing one called "My Baby's Comin' Home" Jason
