From Charles Townsends book

1. The instrumental is a turned around version of the Spanish 2 Step.

2. In 1940 Irving Berlin music publishing asked Bob to submit lyrics. However when the lyrics arrived the publishers did not feel they would be suitable. The eastern version was pitched to a few big band acts but there were no takers. Will's attorney made a big
deal of stating that Will's version of the lyrics reflected his lifestyle. It also caused confusion if someone who had the sheet music saw the band live and heard the different lyrics. Will's finally got his way
and Berlin had the publishing rights to a gold record for Will's and one oh the biggest
seller's up to 1943 for Bing Crosby
