I know this is the Forum and not grammar school but portain is spelled portion. No offense meant--honest. |

After all these weeks of wondering what a portain is, I had just decided that it means something that everybody complains about. |

Backstage was as interesting as the live portain. Kathy Mattea nailed it when she talked about a basic knowledge of country considering I have heard 2 stories about
clueless DJ's over the past week. Also there was no confermation about the marrage rumors of Vince Gill and Amy Grant.
As for the opry Julie Reeves had a great debut and Kathy M still sounds great.

I thought it was a nice Pop show with Conley, and Pruett who are Country.I still have very little hope in the return of Mr.Acuff's Opry. The Opry may be on the RIVER OF NO RETURN.Having studied the Opry's history I would rate this one at about a 2 out of 10.There are a few hanging on who are enduring the change that's being played on the radio and tv.Go back and look at the Opry lineup in the 40s,50,and 60s. |
