Who was the steeler playing with the Dixie Chicks on Leno 2/17/00? I know Tim Sergent (their regular steelman) very well, and it certainly didn't look like him. Local guy, perhaps? |

I heard the Chicks say that they're doing a song called "Goodbye Ernie" about two girls who kill one of the girls' husband because he beat her. I also heard that the record company didn't want to include this song on their album and they said, "No song, no album". I'll be interested to see IF they do it, and what the reaction is, if any when they do it. Has anyone else heard this song? What do you think of it?

It's Goodbye Earl, and I've heard it on the radio AND tv. I really don't mind them killing Earl. A man who hits a woman (except in self-defense, and even then, just enough to subdue her), deserves it. I do think, however, that their ending up in an ostensibly lesbian relationship is a bit of an overreaction.
