I have the Sierra S12 with a pad, that was formerly used by Buddy Emmons known as the "Blue Dumplin" 4 sale. It has Buddy's C6 12 String setup with 6 Floors and 5 Knees. I don't know the copedant, honestly I haven't sat down to jot it down. If you are interested in it let me know. I'm asking $3800.00 for the guitar plus shipping. I have a nibble on it but I want to put it out there if you are interested in it, let me know ASAP.

Pat,
I couldn't even tell you what the copedant is other than C6. As far as I know, Buddy has never released this on the forum, nor will I. Whoever gets it will have full access to it. If it doesn't sale within the next week, I'm going to put it up and keep it. After all, how many pickers have a steel that Buddy Emmons has used with an experimental tuning? I'm sure there are some out there but not a whole lot.
I'm not trying to be hateful so please don't take it that way. It was a honor for Buddy to use the guitar, and leave his C6 12 string tuning on it.
By virtue he didn't tell me to take it off, nor did he tell me to write it down and share it.
If you are interested in the copedant I would suggest you contact Buddy. It is one of many experimental tunings he has been working on.
Please don't think I'm rude, there is just a little hesitation concerning this so it easier that I leave it like it is.
I hope you and all others that read this will understand.

I am somewhat surprised at your reply after reading your initial post.
My request was made merely to gain knowledge and insight into the reasoning and creativity of Buddy Emmons in the true spirit of continuing awareness for all of us. It goes without saying that Buddy has always had the utmost respect from us all and has made infinite contributions.
If you should choose to change your position in the future, I, for one, will be waiting. |

Curt....
Thanks for your reply. I did see that on his website, but the open tuning that was specific for his extended C6 (with no pedals shown) is different than the one with pedals shown. The 8th string is a D, the 11th is a G, and the 12th is an F.
This should keep me busy.
