Dave,I,ve always wanted a walnut pushpull,do you think if I covered the red laquer with walnut contact paper from home depot it would change the sound.Thanks Jerry

Jerry, don't forget those clunky push/pull mechanics. You probably want to strip out the undercarriange and changer and use Home Depot parts to convert it to all-pull. And you probably don't want all that bright tone and sustain, but your conversion will probably fix that.

But seriously, what a beautiful classic tone monster.

David,I have a couple of pushpulls (66,70)and I don,t think even some cheap contact paper would hold their tone back.If their was someway I could swindle that steel away from Dave I would do it.I need to look through my banjo collection to see If I have one that would get Dave excited. LS
