Murphy's Law... just when I'd given up finding an affordable vintage 8 string & gone ahead & ordered one of Morrell's nifty little lipstick pickup 8 stringers, I found the National I'd been dreaming of finding... so the Morrell needs a new home.
$250 w/factory chipboard case. Model JMPTB. BTW, I am not set up for PayPal or anything like that. I was hoping since this forum is based in California that I could find a local buyer. Thanks for your understanding.

I play a Morrell too. It is my first lap steel, but I can tell it is a good one: good tone and very light in weight, good sustain and it stays in tune. It is my favorite guitar to play right now.

Man!! I sure wish I could come up with some more cash! I'd love to get this, but i'm buying things faster than I can save the money to pay for them. I might be interested in a few months if you still have it. I have one like it already, and I like it. Tommy |

Thanks guys!
It's a nice little lap steel & a great deal for an 8 stringer... however, I've been having a severe case of GAS and need to thin things a bit...
Still got those Dobros to sell along with the Morrell. I'm thinking about listing a '73 not stock (unfortunately) but good playing Strat.
What tunings do you use in 8 strings? |

I tune my 8 string dobro to a G6th, with G on the top and bottom.

Thanks!
If I don't find a local buyer for the Morrell, I'll just keep it & put it in one tuning & the National in another... 8 string Dobro, eh? Factory? Way cool! |

To Roy:
I'm getting bounced back when I tried to respond to your email. I am in Silicon Valley, about half way between San Francisco & San Jose, if that helps. |

Hey Folks,
After some of the comments I've had and giving my finances a look, I've decided to keep the little blue boy.
Thanks!
