Hi Folks,
This brass bodied workhorse started life 6 years ago as a round neck Johnson brand reso. My son promptly knocked it over and broke the headstock off a week after I got it.
I made a mahagony squareneck for her and extended the fingerboard to the 25th fret. Fret markers are inlaid maple. The head stock is ivoroid with my "Lap King" logo on it. The neck is oil finished.
She has a NATIONAL cone and bisquit bridge and is strung 56-16 and is an absolute cannon. I put high action on her so I would'nt clack the board when I got hoppin.
This girl has some milage on her. scratches galore, a couple dings etc. Here are some pics...
Yes, those are screws holding the fingerboard extension.
She doesn't sparlke like a new penny but she wails
I don't have a case to go with her.
