Hello all, I have a Rayline D10. 8 floor and 4 knee levers. I found a pretty great deal on a Zumsteel S10 8/6 so I am ready to get rid of the Rayline as I have never even tuned the C6. This guitar is a little beat up but is in better condition than when I bought it (my first steel) as I have put some money into it so I would like to get what I paid for it which was $1200.00 anyone interested? |

Rayline guitars are built by Bill Ray of Jacksonville Fl. He was Sho-bud repair center for years, and this guitar is built like a sho-bud, I sit down to one in Bills house recently and thought I was playing my shobud, it fit like a glove, This is a cheep way to buy a shobud.
Bill is 84 now and has quit making guitars, so this is a piece of history. Parts are standard, made like the new guitars, and parts will be no problem.

Hello Brian.
Do you have any pictures of the Rayline? Is it the red, or the green finish? What is the setup?
I had the opportunity to visit with Mr. Ray a couple of years ago and found him to be a wonderful man. I was also very impressed with his steels. They had a very warm tone along with truly unique mechanics under the hood.
Thanks, Duncan |
