I purchased this steel from the fine folks at Carter last year, but decided I needed a D10.
I'll be straight up about this Dekley steel. It cosmetically has a few issues. There are some scratches and a few bar marks on the fret board. The rods have some discoloration and oxidation. It could definitely use a good once-over. There is also a small crack in the pakkawood near pickup. None of this affects the playability of the steel. It holds it tuning, very little cabinet drop, and heavy as a truck. It has 3 floors 3 knees and 1 vert.
I would consider partial trades for a Fender Steel King or a quality 6 string electric or acoustic.
I am asking $850 OBO for the steel.
I would prefer to sell/trade locally (Sacramento) so you can see exactly what you are getting. Not to mention the shipping on this thing would be $60+. |

Hi Joseph, I sent you three emails and one came back so don't know if you received any of them. I have a NEW with NEW HSC Epiphone Les Paul Model. Beautiful Black trimmed in gold. Only been played no more than an hour here at home. I can send pics if you are interested.
Just email me. Also is the Dekley a dark Mahogany or is it Black?
Thanks.....Loren[This message was edited by Loren Bayles on 13 April 2006 at 05:48 PM.] |

You can lock 'er up. This fine steel has found a new home up in the beautiful mountains of Northern California.
A donation to this fine forum will be in the mail shortly.
Thanks for all the interest!
