If anyone would like to restore one. It is a late 73 0r 74 Fat Back with 8+4 It really needs taken apart and all cleaned up. The Formica on top is a little rough. Its all in what a guy wants or you could clean it up like it is and play it. I can let it go for $ 1995.00. It would be real nice for a guy that wanted to redo it himself. Its been played but not abused to the mechanics. I cant get any pics. It would be a nice guitar especially if you can redo it yourself for a player. Email me or call. 614-316-1267 |

Gary i think a guy that i know has one of these also .But i think his has 8 floor pedals and 6 knees . These old ''push pulls'' can be seen selling for a lot more than this . I have heard of some selling for maybe $3000.00 or more . Just a thought . G.P. [This message was edited by Gary Preston on 07 March 2006 at 06:45 PM.] |

Thanks, Gary. You are right. This one needs taken apart and new Formica and Fret boards and all polished up to be real sharp. If someone does this themself they will not have very much in it. |

Gary P:
Three grand will get you a really nice p/p.
But not many bring that kind of money. I think Gary's guitar needs a lot of work to come close to that figure. That only addresses the cosmetic problems, the underside is a whole different ball game.
There are many problems the untrained eye doesn't detect in these old girls. Just my two cents...

I got an old Mustang too trade. She is needs paint. Has a little wobble and may need adjustment. Stays tuned and maintained by good people. Not to tall short.
She is about the same age as that push pull and has been to the farrier last week. Email me for pics. |
