F/S Blanton D-10 8X4. Built in about 1969 for Gene O'Neil. It went back to Jerry right before he closed up shop to be updated to the latest model. The guitar is in good shape except a couple bar dings between the necks. The case is beat up pretty good but is serviceable. I can bring the guitar to dallas this weekend if necesary. $1500.00 + shipping. Guitar is being sold due to auto accident.
My cell number is 512-695-5849
Best,
Justin

Justin,

That looks very nice. Are you getting out of Blanton? I'm not in the market but thought I'd give it a bump.

Sorry to hear about the car wreck Justin; I hope all is well.

Guys, these Blantons are some of the best steels there are. It took me a while to mull it over when I bought mine from Mike Ester, but when I got it and dialed in my copedent and everything, I was sweating the fact that I almost let it go...

The mechanism is perhaps the best thought-out all-pull there is. You don't even need a wrench to tune the pulls, and the knurled screws under the guitar are actaully pretty easy to get to and use. Best part is all your pull are always timed as good as it can get - pedal action is like butter too! They are built sturdy and are as reliable as it gets, and the tone is some of the longest, singing sustain I've heard - my playing sounds the best on that guitar out of all of them.

Don't kid yourself - these guitars are very special and nothing else is quite like 'em.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and take dibs on this guitar. Justin, I'll bring you some money and meet you in Dallas.

I can vouch for that. When I owned Duane's guitar, I never had any problems. Just change strings, lube ocassionally, and play it. They are bulletproof.

Michael G., you should be able to drop Justin's Blanton from 20,000 feet and find it still in tune when you recover it.
