Hamer ES-335 copy in as new condition. Very good sounding and playing guitar. Sunburst finish, dot neck, with Seymour Duncan designed humbuckers. Comes with a TKL hardshell case also like new. $275.00 plus actual shipping or trade for a Goodrich LDR 2 volume pedal.

TROY,
The Hamer guitar above is a standard, 6 string guitar, not a steel guitar. In my opinion, there are much better student guitars than the Maverick. Try to find a used Carter Starter, GFI student model, or Zum student model. The older MSA guitars are usually not expensive, and are also good student guitars. Living in Virginia, you should take a day and go talk with Billy Cooper at Billy Coopers Music in Orange, Virginia. He will have 30 or 40 different steels guitars on his show room floor. He can show you the differences in different models, and help steer you toward a good, starter guitar. If you click on the "Links," at the top of the steel guitar forum home page, then look at "Vendors" you will find a link to Billy Cooper's store. You can click on that and see what he has in stock.
Hope you find a good guitar and get started. Good luck. Larry Jamieson

I apologize for not making my initial post more clear. This unit is indeed a six string standard guitar. The Hamer is imported, but the fit, finish, and most importantly the playability and tone are surprisingly good. There does not appear to be a model number.

It's likely a Hamer EchoTone. Made in Korea (methinks), a great guitar for the money, as nice, perhaps nicer, than the currrent Epiphone dot 335's. Hamer does make a few USA models that look a bit like a 335, (the Hamer New Porter), and they are really exquisit, but obviously pricier. For the money, the import EchoTone 335 is a great guitar, and would serve well beyong a student status. Read the Harmony Central reviews on these guitars.

Leila,
Sorry, I do not have any photos. Picture a Gibson ES-335 dot marker with a Hamer headstock and you pretty much have it.

Thanks
