Jim. Really nice horns. I have a couple of old Mark VIs alto and tenor. 110*** alto and
140*** tenor. What mouthpiece do you use. Sorry to break your post but I don't get to talk horns much on this forum plus I can give a sax player a bump. |

Hi Chuck, thanks for the bump. Alas, I wish I were the horn player in our family but it is my son (age 16) who's a really excellent player already, who plays all the woodwinds. He just bought a lovely Buffet Crampon S-1 Alto, which is great for classical music, and has a Conn 6M that he likes for jazz. When he played the C-Melody, I think he used a tenor mouthpiece that he borrowed from school, as he doesn't own a real C-Melody mouthpiece. The C-Melody has a great sound, though, that's for sure. Let me know if you know anyone who might be interested in it. He needs to sell it to cover his costs of the Buffet.
