one of the Sho-Bud "reproductions" of the original Ric Fry-Pan, popularized by Jerry Byrd, and made quite some time ago.
It is an 8 string model with a "Horseshoe" style pickup, Volume and Tone knobs. Looks like it's made out of a high quality polished aluminum alloy, it's fairly heavy.
It's in excellent condition, comes with the original black hardshell case and the original certificate signed by Jerry Byrd.
The s/n is A12x, and I beleive this is the short scale model. Just put set of new strings on it, sounds great.
Located in Arizona. Domestic shipment only. Will email pics upon request.$950. plus actual shipping/insurance costs.
payment by Bank Cashier Check or USPS Money Order, or personal check if you want to wait for it to clear prior to shipping the instrument.
Email if you have any questions, Thanks!!

A friend of mine has one and it is 9" diameter and 30 " long. He is interested in buying yours. Is yours approximately the same dimensions?

Yes, the scale is 22.5".
I've received several emails from interested buyers, but whoever comes up with the funds first gets it.

The body section is a bit more than 2" thick. It's one solid piece of what looks like some Aluminum alloy, highly polished.

Robert,

I think that my friend and I are going to try and make a copy of his frypan for me. It is a 24 1/2" which I really prefer. We can't decide whether to make a single casting using sand or whether to get some goord aircraft aluminum and cut it out. I believe we could make one for a fraction of the new cost. We would use a sho bud fretboard from Bobbe, a George L's pickup and grover or kluson tuners.

This JB Frypan is available. Pending offer was for a trade.

"What no horseshoe PU?"
The pickup is the original "Horseshoe" that came with these JB guitars.

Beautiful guitar/case and really fine photo's.
Looks just like my "Shot Jackson" one-of-a-kind Jerry Byrd "look alike" Fry Pan.

I will sell the instrument to an international buyer (UK & Europe) providing they can send payment that is immediately negotiable at a US bank without any hold being placed on it, and providing it can be shipped by FedEx or UPS.
