Sort of off topic, but sort of on topic:
Tom Morrell tells a story where he had some off time from a gig in California. He was looking for a place to buy shoes, and stopped to ask someone where he could get some. The shop owner he asked was a little oriental lady. She pointed to her right and yelled "Fulawka!". Confused, Tom replied "Huh?". Again, the lady just pointed and said "Fulawka!!". He walked out the door and looked to his right, and down the street a block away was a Foot Locker.
The opening track to Tom's "Stylin'" CD is named "Phoolawka". I thought it was kind of funny there is another steel guitar related entity with the same (Similar) name![This message was edited by Kyle Aaron on 31 July 2005 at 10:27 PM.] |

Fonza,
If you'll email me some pics, I'll post them for you.
I'm sorry to hear you have to hang it up; Although it's a time we will all face. Then we get a rest before the big adventure, ...which I think will be a grand experience beyond our imagination.
Would you be able to play a little MOTS Magnatone and Microcube amp?
Aloha,
Denny T~

Fonza,
It might help if you measure and post the scale length and strings spacing at the bridge and at the nut.
Aloha,
DT~

That is one pretty and capable looking console--I hear the drops from the chops even now from people looking it over. Bet it sounds as good as any new crop of 'lap' steels out now --even with just 6 to play. I like the control placement for Boowaa stuff--Bill Lawrence p/u? If my sons transp situation didn't develop a 'hitch'--I'd be motivated..Oh well. JZ |
