It is the bad economy. If you will notice, there are a lot of really good deals that are not being snatched up. People are holding on to their money.

well i feel that the ecomony has nothing to do with it. look at how much he is asking for it. it is the price of a new zum steel.mine was a couple years old and i got it a lot less than that. try lowering your price to 2k and i bet it goes fast then. doc

i know its high but i payed 2750.00 for it because i wanted it right now i bought it from billy jenkins and have no regrets i just woke up and realized i had five guitars
and needed to sell a couple nuff said |

My point here is that from a buyers perspective the cross is a sale limiting factor. Not everyone who plays Steel Guitar subscribes to the "Christian" point of view and would not want this emblem on the front of a guitar they might otherwise buy. I am not interested in starting any religious disscussion, I am just stating the obvious from a buyers point of view. Everybody is free to believe in whatever they wish...IP

--Please bear in mind that I'm speaking strictly on the subject of marketing--
I believe the issue of whether the cross helps or hinders the sale of the guitar depends on the specific group to which you are trying to sell the guitar.
For example, if you were trying to sell this guitar in, say, Bankok, or maybe, let's say, oh I don't know... Tehran, or likewise let's say maybe in... mmm, Berkley, then I would venture to say that the cross would probably not help sell the guitar.

Not to me... I have no interest in having a "fish" symbol or a cross on my instruments, and it is always difficult to impossible to remove them. Such stuff usually constitutes a PASS for me.

Finis, I never meant my comments to cause a debate on religion. I was speaking from experience I have had trying to sell items I have had with pemanent markings. Buyers who would purchase the unmarked goods walk away...IP
