Calvin, Sho-Buds of all colors were natural or stained curly, birds-eye maple. Do you mean that yours is natural? If not, what color is it? In 1981 I believe both the Pro III and the Super Pro were being made with aluminum necks. Which model is yours? If there is a model number, the Pro III was 6164, and the Super Pro was 6166, but it should say the name of the model on the right front apron.

The color is Burnt Orange stain. 6166 sounds good to me. To be honest I'd say that doesn't mean as much as how it plays and does it stay in tune. Yes its real good now. Better than new because tecnology plays the best part. Thanks to Duane Marrs and Jeff. Those guys know their stuff. Let me know if you want some pics.
THANKS

Calvin, can you send me some photos of guitar and case. And if possible, let me have the total weight of guitar in case. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a good one, Calvin. If you send a picture to Ricky Davis, he might post it for all of us to enjoy. I can't buy another one right now, but I love to see the pictures of the old Buds.
