Herb Remington has a brand new custom made D8 Steelmaster for sale - 24 1/2" scale, natural finish, black and white fretboard. 4 legs and custom HSC included. The original buyer reneged, and now Herb is offering this beautiful instrument for $1,500. This is a substantial reduction from the original price - see Remington Steel Guitars web site.

This guitar has never been played, except by Herb when he set it up. And no waiting . .

They're wonderful guitars - I play mine all the time!

It is indeed. When I visited Jody for a weekend, I couldn't get near it. He left tweed marks all over it!

I'm very happy with my Remington Triple neck. A lot of attention is paid to details and no corner is cut.

I am glad he doesn't cut corners. That would look weird!!

This is a fine steel. Someone will be real happy they got this.

If you are thinking about getting one of Herb's steels, now is the time.

Something else to consider about buying a Steelmaster is the investment factor. Herb makes about 12 a year and there are fewer than 150 Steelmasters on the planet. So who knows what they'll be worth in 10 or 20 years?

Anyway, here's a pic of a Steelmaster D8 somebody sent me a while back. It's not the one Herb has for sale, but it's the same except for the colored fretboard markers.

Rick: Thax for the head's-up on the d8 that Herb has. I bought one from him a couple of years ago and foolishly sold it. I wanted another one but knew it took a long time to order one. Anyway I contacted Herb and as I only live about 50 miles from him am going in tomorrow and pick it up. I fully agree with you they are superb steels. I think yours is a t8 I have seen it on the forum a beautiful instrument. Anyway thx Jack
