due to arthritis problems, i have to sell my arrow G mandolin. it was built by paul lestock in oregon. you can check out his website at: www.arrowguitar.com
this mandolin is unlike anything else on the market. it looks kind of like one of those vintage kay mandolins from the 40's. it has three body points. it has a curly maple body and neck, and a spruce top with stylized f holes. it has a dark, maroonburst laquer finish, ebony fingerboard, bridge, and floating pickguard. rosewood and maple binding. it has a custom made pickup built in that sounds great. the mandolin has wonderful tone and enough volume to make a banjo player show respect.
the reason that i'm selling it is that it has a 14.66" scale, which is about 1" longer than standard. i've just been diagnosted with arthritis in my left pinky, and the extra reach is just a little much for me. it would be perfect for someone who finds a standard mandolin just a little too small. it is 1 3/16" at the nut, with large frets and a radiused fingerboard.
paul lestock works alone, and doesn't make many mandolins. this one is marked "prototype #2" on the label. it is one of a kind. it comes with a weber shaped F style case. asking $2500. or make me an offer. i might be interested in a partial trade for a 7 or 8 string lap steel, but i mostly need money to fund the shorter scale mandolin that i just bought, and to pay the hand doc. thanks, john

| really fine mandos and guitars, exquisitely built, great ringing tone. The little extra scale length on this mando is real nice too. |
