Sorry Farris, I was hoping it was the old LDG, the one with the wide pedals and rack & barrel guts, and round front. I'd almost hock my farm for one! Thanx anyways!! Some one will scarf up your cool guitar, though. It's a steal for this steel! [This message was edited by James Morehead on 22 May 2005 at 06:30 AM.] |

James,i know what you mean!if it was it wouldn't be for sale!but lot of guys likes these, they were made to look more like a emmons.and the setup is so easy to change.also it is light, easy to carry, and many people with back problems love these.
I have a sho-bud professional like your talking about,love it,but weights a ton.
just play it at home. Thanks James farris |

I, too have a "The Professional"! I wouldn't take for it, period! The tone is my pain medication, for the back pain! I also have an S-10 rack and barrel. Same deal, love them both! The D-10 is a '69, and the S-10 is a '70. |

Well have to say one thing,we played Thurs.evening, and band leader wanted Have i told you lately that i love you for his wife,we did it in key of C,and i played it way up in Heuey land.Fret 15,20,22 ect.this little guitar was so clear, with my new peavy 112 amp.no effects at all, just kept holding more than any guitar i've ever had.
i don't usually go up high that much, but had it crying, and the Hilton pedal was on the floor most the time.wow,i be talked myself out of selling soon. farris |

hee hee,Sorry RON,this guitar don;t leave the states!!I've been informed this is a LDG SHO-BUD super pro. short key head, and built more like a Emmons.I don't know where it's proper to go up on the price or not??
anyway, new week, new day,and this steel is still open to anyone.Just because someone ask doesn't make them first. It will be available this week, and after that it will be pulled. done talked to a shop about getting rid of the green, and it can be done.
just didn't want to do that, because lots of people like green. farris |

I've had several emails asking about the weight!i will weigh it,but guessing i'd say it's 35lbs.+CASE total is in the 40s.even this old man can carry it without to much trouble. with a peavy 112 amp, make a nice light outfit. farris |

Farris,
If that LDG has that kind of sustain up that high, then you better keep it man!
Steels like that dont come along too often!
Plus its a BUD man! You know you LOVE IT!!
Keep it and find another way to pay for the next project...maybe sell pics of that Jennings fellow! ha,ha!

Robert,YEA,i got one laying on the dinner table just admiring it.I think this will be the future for SHO-BUDS.put all those new parts under the hood. be just the same as a new guitar, only better!Where else we gonna get a new guitar, with 20-35yr old seasoned wood and all new parts.only JOHN COOP

Well, midnight,i've been offered all kinds of guitars in trade.been trying to answer all emails.NOPE,only reason i was considering selling was to pick me up a emmons push pull.I hear so much about them, just like to try one. I have plenty of sho-buds now,and don't care for other kinds.
i'm gonna wait till the end of this week, and if i don't sell it,or trade for emmons,it goes to the paint shop.and be completely refinished.any color but green.

I would bet your 35 lb estimate is shy at least 20 lb.
While you have it stripped down to paint, you can install another neck, and push pull changer. |
