This guitar was sold to me as a 1952 Reissue. I bought it as such but I wouldn't know one from the other. I paid $650 for it and had a genuine Fender maple neck installed about 4 years ago. It comes complete with a Tweed case that has been used, but protects the guitar well. There is some Belt Buckle rash on the back of the horn but other than that the axe is in good shape. Straight Tele pickups and this one plays well. You can have it for what I have in it minus the installation of the neck. $700 plus shipping. No pictures available. My cameras were more important to someone else than to me. They were stolen out of my car last week.

Fred is A - OK to deal with. He and I have done business and I couldn't have been happier with how he handled everything. Plus, he really knows how to pack an item for shipment. My purchase from him arrived "Tip Top" as described.

Hey Tim, thanks for the kick in the butt. How's the Fender checking out. I really hated to get rid of it, but my new Nashville 112 is so much lighter. I hate to admit it but I miss the "tube sound" though. Although I think the 112 is as close as one can find.
I'll be posting some pics shortly on this Tele. I've received several emails asking for description. I don't know where the axe was made. There is no serial number on the back plate although I believe the back plate was replaced at the neck changeout. It looks newer than the rest of the chrome on the axe. Not certain however. The bridge has "FENDER" inscribed and it is a full six string adjustable bridge. Guess I should have been more careful when buying the thing but the cat was in a hurt for money and I had known him for years. It sure sounds like all the Tele's I've heard however.

Fred,
The '65 Fender Twin Reverb is doing just fine. It has found a loving home! I am in love with the sound. The bass response from the 2-12" is awesome. Plus it has headroom for days. I have been playing out of my Webb 6-14E..I like the Webb, but I will be using the Twin for a while. The tube sound is HARD to beat. I am really happy with it as you can tell.
You will have to pry this amp from my cold dead hands before I will get rid of it.. :-)

It used to be that a Fender guitar was a Fender guitar; made in Leo's Fullerton factory. In the last twenty years or so, "Fender" guitars are manufactured in Mexico, Japan, even China, as well as California. Without more information on this guitar it's hard to make a call. If it's a Mexican guitar it might be in the $200 to $250 range. Japanese? Maybe $300. A standard American model might bring $800. Custom shop reissues are $1200 to $1500 or more. An original '52 is around $25,000.
My friend David bought a new "Fender" Telecaster and wanted to refinish it. He said, "It looks good, except for down at the end where you can see the plywood! |

Michael, I'm sure you know a lot more about the Fender guitars than I, but I can assure you there's no Plywood in this guitar. It weighs 8.5 lbs. But whatever.
