Ian called to say he had a heart attack earlier this week! Apparently he is doing fine and expects to be released from the hospital today. The ironic part is Ian is one of the most healthy eaters you can imagine. He keeps slim and fit by excercising an hour a day.
We are all just visiting this planet. Every day counts.
Speedy recovery Ian!! Enjoy your recovery time at home. It sure was good to hear your voice last night.
All the best,
Bob[This message was edited by Bob Stone on 28 March 2003 at 06:15 AM.] |

My thoughts and best wishes for a complete speedy recovery Ian. I have learned much from your posts through the years. You are a great asset to the forum.
Actually, so am I, but in my case, you can leave off the "et".....

Ian...you are too darned young to suffer a heart attack ! Shame on you....heart attacks are reserved for old pharts like me.
I can only wish you a speedy recovery, my friend. Try not to look at gorgeous girls in bikinis or beautiful antique steel guitars...those could bring on another unpleasant session.
Get well soon pal. Everyone who knows or has ever met you will be wishing you a great recovery.

Thanks, everybody. They say only the good die young, and I guess I'm living proof. I'm home again, feeling fine and expecting to make a full recovery soon. The biggest threat to my health the past week was the withdrawal symptoms I suffered not being able to check into the Forum every day. Ah, I feel the soothing relief already. |

Gosh Ian, I haven't viewed the forum for a week, and I read Bob Stone's email two or three times, saying to myself, surely he doesn't mean Ian had the heart attack.
Man, you have to take it easy. I didn't realize that steel playing could be so stressful, says me who had a quad bipass 2 years ago!!!!
All joking aside, Ian, I wish you a very speedy recovery, and don't get complacent with your health. Been there, done that, bought 2 T-shirts.
Regards
