Seriously though, Ricky, that's a beautiful guitar and the new owner will have an awesome, high quality, one-of-a kind instrument!

I heard this baby played by Ricky at the ISGC Hawaiian Room ver. 1,
and it is everything he says it is,
a very impressive instrument.

Hi Ricky,
That is the most beautiful steel that I have seen. I want to ask you what is the product or polish that you have used on the various Sho-Bud's and other steel you have restored to get that nice glossy finish?
Thank you,
Carl Green

Carl eventhough your question doesn't have to do with this posting; I'll answer anyway out of kindness.

Well what we are doing is bringing the old lacquer to surface and then polishing it.
First you clean with soap and water and dry.
Then I use a hardwood floor paste finishing wax from MinWax. And wax on wax off….and that will bring the lacquer up to surface. Then I use my secret Qualarenu from “Behlen” and it has amalgamation in it; that Rejuvenates old cracked; crazed; checked lacquer and brings the lines in(then I may wax again). Then I use Old English Lemon Oil to Moisturize the lacquer as it gets dry though the years; wipe on, let sit, wipe off. Then I use Meguiar’s Cleaner Wax polish; to give it the silky smooth polished finish.
There ya go…..the whole recipe.

So I'm I putting you down for a bid Carl???

This is a magical sounding guitar, with an impeccable selection of wood and materials (what else would you expect from Ricky?). Somebody's gonna be real lucky!! Wish it could be me...

wait a minute ricky
you did include it at the very end, i didnt see the mquiers polish.
its great stuff for a clean up by itself for a quicky, but were talking about picky ricky.

ITS HARD WORK GUYS i've watched him do a bunch and its time consuming- dont know how he can play afterward, but as we all know he goes out there after beating hands up and then his playing is prettier than the guitars, i think?
