That Gibson D–8 CG is the one that Gibson introduced around ’56 and is exactly like the one I mentioned in another Post, that I had examined very closely when I first received mine, which was one of the very first ones made and incorporated the 4–8–4 Humbucking P/U's and the hollow bodies. I don't know how long they were mfg'd, but; my early one was about 1956.

I love mine! If I can ever find a T-8 of this style I'd be in CG heaven. |

Do you happen to know the scale? |

It's the longer 24 3/4 scale. I have a 1961 Gibson catalog, and it's pictured as the Console Grande CG-520. I believe there is a sale pending, waitng for confirmation. |

Joel, what is thevintage electronics sitting behind the steel, in the vintage Bud cabinets, in Pic 2?
Almost loks like a Universal Audio logo. Possibly an OLD compressor.

David, my neighbor is trying to build a vintage analog studio in the attic. it's not up and running yet and i'm sorry I don't know the model name of the compressors. I'm no engineer. But it looks cool! |
