I have a D10 ShoBud that belonged to Hal Rugg and was built by Hal and Duane Marrs in the early 70's. They tell me it is the only D10 ShoBud ever made with mica finish. They also say it is the very first one made with metal necks.
I showed pictures of this guitar to Hal in St Louis at Scotty's 2004 show and he confirmed that this guitar was built to appear like a lacquer finish on TV shows such as the Wilburn Brothers show.
This guitar is a good axe and should bring a normal price as such, however I don't want to sell it as just another ShoBud. The history, collective value, rarity and uniqueness of this ShoBud has got to make it worth a whole lot more to someone. What that worth is or should be is my question of the day. Any ideas of it's true value???
I appreciate any input.....Bobby |

Bobby, you may be thinking that its worth a whole lot more than it is. Not to be discourageing, but its only worth what someone would pay for it. There may be a collector out there who is looking for it. |

Thanks for the comeback guys. You're right both times; I may be thinking it is worth more than it is and documentation would help.
I will probably see Duane soon and maybe I'll call Hal. If you're whatching this post Hal please give some input. Thanks , Bobby |
