It was purple when new but has faded to a wine color and really I like it a lot better than before. It looks incredible on stage like the finish was original. The underneath of the guitar is still purple.
No BCT but really it plays great and has great sustain. It was sent back to Carter for a set-up this past summer. The guitar is a hard rock maple wood body with real Abalone you'd pay a lot more for if you ordered a new one. It has GL 1-10 p-ups.
It stays in tune and returns true every time.
Standard Emmons set up with the F# to G# raise on the first string E9 and G# to F# on the 6th string E9.
It also has the Franklin 4th pedal lowering the 5th and 6th strings a whole tone on E9.
The back neck is standard with the D on top with the exception of the Jernigan 4th pedal and a vertical that lowers the 6th string a whole tone. It'll do about anything for chords and the Jernigan pedal is very cool.
This is really a great guitar, much better than an EMCI or MCI in my opinion.
The guitar will be ready for shipment in a couple weeks as I haven't gotten the new one yet and need to put my set-up on it.
E-mail for pictures and the exact set-up.
$1800 plus shipping in the lower 48.

Hi Frank, Just curious. What does the "Jernigan" pedal do on the C6th neck? Good luck on selling your Carter. They are great guitars. I bought a single 12 Carter last year and love it. George

I think I owned this guitar at one point quite a few years ago. It is (or was) really sweet. Lightweight with great tone and looks. A great deal at the asking price.

This was in fact Cartwrights guitar and is still a very sweet guitar. There was some confusion about the Jernigan pedal so I've taken it off and put on the 10 string whole tone lower on the E9 for the full Franklin 4th pedal. The guitar has a more common set-up now and should be a little more agreeable for most of you.

I have been buying items off ebay with Western Union Money orders in the past.

Who can i use the Visa with, for this guitar,as I dont think Western Union heard of the Forum? There must be a way? Anyone have the answer to this question? It would make buying guitars alot easier on the forum for sure.

Sonny,

Most credit card companies will do checks, you can call the company, have them send you some. They put them in with my credit card bill most months, they are trying to get people to spend more on the card. The only bummer is that the interset starts when the check hits Visa, I don't think you get the 30 day grace period on these, its like a cash advance on a credit card.

SO you could send a "Visa check" for the guitar, Frank could wait till it clears, then ship the guitar.

And then this guitar will disappear from the forum, and I won't be tempted by it, I have a similar Carter being built right now and it probably wouldn't mind a friend.
