Hey Terry..thanks for the kind words; that is the same guitar....and hey to you to, Fred...how's things 'out west'....no, I'm going to play my Super Pro for a while, and maybe a single neck (with pad)...you know, I play several different makes of lead and acoustic guitars, depending on the style and application, and there's no reason why we can't do the same with steels...this JCH is a great sounding and playing guitar, and it's been my 'main squeeze' for about four years, but I want to do something different for a while and I'm not going to put it under the bed where the Sho Bud stayed for about twenty years. Besides, Laney keeps me broke buying up every Jimmy Day and Buddy Emmons album she can find, so I need the money. Mr. Justice, we are so looking forward to 'Arizona in January; see you there.

This is an absolutely gorgeous JCH, and the gold plating really stands out against the white mica! Like all JCH guitars, it has tone to the walls. I've played this guitar, and the action is as smooth as it gets! If I didn't have so many guitars myself right now, I would but it myself just because of who it belonged to. If you want to hear what this guitar sounds like recorded, get yourself a copy of "Two Mile Pike" or some of Russ's other CD's.

To the lucky person who buys this guitar, I will personally send you 6 sets of Jagwire Russ Hicks artist series string sets. That's worth more than the price of shipping alone, and you get a nice picture of Russ to boot. Smile

Well, I saw Russ and this guitar in Hot Springs a couple of weeks ago and the guitar is for sure a great guitar. It sounded great and feels great and is a beauty, however, I am afraid that photo of Russ looks pretty much like him. But, he sure can play.

OUCH!!!!!That's OK Jerry....I'll take the later comment, and Stepen G., I'll take care of you the next time we come to Saluda.....at least I have one 'nice guy' on my side; Danny H. has character enough to know a 'nice' picture when he sees one...he also makes IMO the best strings on the market.

Not to worry Russ. We've got a big picture of you hanging on the wall here at Jagwire among all the other endorsers, and when the ladies come in and look at the pictures, they single yours out from all the rest and ask... "who's that guy" pointing at your picture and say, WOW... he's really cute! With that being the case, I guess we have to consider who the audiance is here. Smile Heck, a few of the female Jagwire employees here even have a picture of you on their bedroom walls! So not to worry Russ, I think they're all just jealous. Smile I would have thought someone would have bought the guitar from you just to get the string package photo. Go figure? Smile

Well, I guess I am going to get further in the doghouse with Russ but if I was going to purchase this guitar I would insist on at least a couple of Russ' and Laney's great CD's be thrown in for good measure!!

Somebody please buy this great guitar! That way I won't have to drool every time I visit this section of the Forum. It is a "dandy" in every way! Like many others, I have seen, heard, and admired this guitar (and Russ' playing) several times in the last few years.
My problem is similar to Wayne Brown's: I recently ordered a new JCH. Funny thing is, it was hearing Russ play this "very guitar" at the NTSGA Super Jam earlier this month that helped confirm my decision. Exactly like Wayne Brown, I owned a JCH and let it get away from me. I won't be letting that happen again! The person who buys this guitar is going to get one fine instrument!
