I have a a very good looking 12 string Deckley, that has 3+5 pedals. There is enought pedals to make it a 7 pedal, with the pedals and rods etc.
The pedals are shaped like D's. And that is the only sign of the Deckley logo.
It originally had a stripped thread in the leg body, and i had it repaired by a machinist.
Serial number is 122-0009.I am only guessing as to its age, and maybe someone will let us know what year it was made.
I have the regular Emmons set up on it, and i use the 11 string like Brumley uses it, as It is another E string on the bottom, and it makes quite a difference in sound.
Of course , you can put the 12 string on and tune it any way you see fit.
All the extra parts will come will the steel
so you can set it up any way you want, and experiment as you go along.
This Deckley plays beautiful, and the second octave is a joy to play, Pedals are smooth and it has a beautiful sound.
It comes with a leather bag for the rods and legs. And the case looks good also.

Nice looking D-E-K-L-E-Y! That guitar was the ninth SlimLine SD-12 made, so my guess is that it was made in the first half of 1980.
I was still with the company at that time, so I was the one that did the final assembly and check out of your guitar. |

Sonny,
Nice looking Dekley. Being a Dekley owner myself, as well as a Sho-Bud LDG owner I add: Anyone considering an LDG should consider this guitar. A bargain for the price (and considering what the LDG goes for these days).

You guys are so right! This guitar has a richness to it that, that is almost unbelievable. Next to the best SD 's i have owned, it stands up very well.
It has all those extra pedals and the 12 strings for further choices as you go along.
Altho the pictures did not show it, it looks like this was a body that was set up for a D-10 also, if you wanted it.I refer to the cutout on the end of the guitar. |

I didn't notice the extra cutout the first time I looked at the pictures. My guess is that the changer endplate was swapped out at some time. The serial number is for an SD-12 and there is no changer cutout or neck and tuner holes for another neck. |

If a small piece of aluminum was cut out for that square hole in the end of the guitar, it would look alright. And match the rest of the guitar. That is a simple project for me this winter!

Price Reduced!!!
The price has been reduced to 1350.00, which includes shipping in the USA only.
I just noticed that the thread 1/2-13 that was just put in the body, has resulted in the right front leg , off about a 1/4 inch. Barely noticeable. It can be easily fixed again as i paid, 20.00 to fix it the first time. That is the reason for the reduction in price and the free shipping. A good deal for somebody.
7 rods 7 pedals, tuning rods and other things come with this PSG.

This Deckley has 3 pedals at this moment, and has always had 5 knee levers from the momnent i posted this Pedal steel.I can have 12 strings if any body wants to add the pedals and rods that come with this steel.
I feel that if the title was changed to state 3P and 5K's it would sell. THanks Bump |
