Any one out there who might be interested in buying my 1972 Emmons P/P. It has 8 + 4
and is the Fatback model Green finish rough
cosmetically on the top, but great mechanical condition. Original pickup on
C6th and 18750 ohms on E9th. Case is still very servicable. Asking $1500.00, but willconsider trade on an all-pull. I'm diabetic and nedd a D-10 the pedals a little softer. TJH |

| Jerry R-I guess it makes no difference who is where "in line" on a Forum post about the sale of an instrument when the seller does not care send it-If it worked that way I guess I would be "next in line" But even my offer to give more $$$ than he is asking (including paying all shipping costs and the Forum donation for him) is not currently enough to compell him to package the instrument up and send it to me Unlike Buck D You and I are not in close enough proximity to take a convenient drive to the sellers home location to buy it-Perhaps the seller could have mentioned in the beginning that he cannot package it for shipment elsewhere-If I had to make that my policy-then probably none of the wonderful instruments that I have sold on this Forum would be in hands of those others here who deserve to be owning and enjoying them-PW [This message was edited by PAUL WARNIK on 20 October 2004 at 01:49 PM.] |

Easy you guys. I understand your frustration but no need to get our dresses blown up. It does make me think we should have a "guideline" for Buy and Sell etiquette. Maybe we don't need it (maybe we already have it and I don't know about it), but it's a thought . But we also have to understand that people may, and should be able to change their minds. Plus, I understand the guys position on selling only to a walk-up buyer. That way, you can make a clean, relatively low risk transaction.

| Speaking of "Buy and Sell Etiquette" I have seen some posts where the buyer has changed their mind about selling an item and later posted on the forum to close the thread-OK no problem-I can understand that they may feel the onset of "sellers remorse" If they do not care to ship the instrument-then fine-state that in your sale terms on the initial post so that someone like myself who is not local to the seller but wanting to buy doesn't waste money calling long distance to try and make the deal happen |

| Buck D-I agree and can see that there is no breach of etiquette-Forum rules for the Buy and Sell section don't cover matters such as this-The politeness of gentlemen doing business cannot always be expected-And surely many just don't know how because they don't do much of it-In my case however I have been active in the trade of instruments for more than the last twenty years-My level of intensity may be elevated in these matters because of my volume of trade in steel guitars and related items-I just don't like it when something that I want to buy is offered for sale and my money is no good |

The only person that I feel would possibly have a squawk would be the guy who first offered to buy. At that point he should have the first right of refusal before another offer is made.

inconvenienced in any way or form. I did not
intend to play games with anyone that is not
