forgive my ignorance, but what is a "Boen?" what do they look like? can't say I ever heard that name.

It is a lot like the old MSA's but lighter weight. Jim Boen made his own pickups and they were terrific. Sorry , he has passed away.
I have played a Boen and the sound was great. I have a video of me playing "Talk of the Town "on a S10 4 pedal 4 knee lever Boen. I made the video for my old buddy in Florida ,Ray Byrd. I tried to buy the Boen from him but he wouldn't sell. I guess he is a collector. I hope he and my Grandkids makes it through the Hurricane ok....al

| The Boen was made by Jimmy Boen in Arkoma Ok. (right next to Fort Smith Ar.) He built a lot of MSA parts in the guitar. It is Heavy, I will get some pictures of it in here soon as we get the film developed. It is set up Emmons, Jerry Newberry moved some of the knees for me.I will answer each of you. Ron |

| I believe Maurice plays a custom Boen 12 string Lap steel on the Swing casette he made w/Johnny Gimble. It sounds great.... so does Maurice! Classic swing... unbelievable playing... |

Boen D10 is with a happy new owner..I traded it today for his Sierra S10. Thanks to all of you who inquired about it, and Thanks Larry, I like the Sierra and it sounds great!!!!!
