I have a very nice Gibson Lap Steel for sale. This is a 6 string model with the blade style Charlie Christian pickup. This guitar was made in the late thirties or early forties. It also has the original hard shell case which is a little rough, but the guitar is excellent. This is a very rare model and best I can tell it is the EH-100 model. I am asking $800.00 for it. I don't have any photos right now as my camera is not working properly. The serial number on the guitar is: 502-1. It has a sunburst finish with white binding on the top edge. It has both tone and volume controls.

Herby, it sounds like it could also be an EH 150 as the earlier ones were single bound.
I've edited my post as the guitar for sale has been determined to be an EH 100.

Herby, the EH100 has a white stenciled Gibson logo on the head - while the E150 has Gibson inlaid on it and a 4 point star inlaid as well -(like on Howard's pics)
the PU on the EH100 has 2 blades (split blade)1 on strings 123 and the other on 456
it has a cream coloured cover.
the PU on the EH150 has 1 blade on strings 456 and 3 square polepieces on 123 - the cover is black w: white sandwiched between the black layers
both these PU are considered to be Charlie Christians
whichever one you have, they are great sounding critters |

Thanks guys for your comments. I still think my guitar is the EH-100 as the pickup is the cream colored version and the logo is not inlaid. Other than that it is similar to the one in your photo Howard, except 6 string, of course. By the way, those two in your photo are very impressive.
Thanks,

I have decided to lower the price on this guitar from $800 to $600. I was told that this was a more fair price for this instrument, so I didn't want to have it over priced as I would like to sell it. Again, it is in excellent condition.
